# What is Minimum trading days?

> Also called: Min days, Minimum days to payout, Minimum days to pass

**In short.** Minimum trading days is the number of days, with at least one trade each, an account must log before an evaluation can be passed or a payout requested: commonly 5 to 10 days for a pass and 8 to 14 for a first payout. A day counts only if a trade was placed, and some firms require a minimum profit on the day for it to count.

The rule stops a trader from passing in one afternoon. It also sets a floor on the cost of monthly evaluations: a 10-day minimum spread over three weeks is one monthly fee at least, two if the days are spread further.

Check whether 'days' means calendar or trading days, and whether a day with a loss counts: for some payout policies only days above a small profit threshold ($50, $100) are counted.
