In short. The profit split is the share of the profits the trader keeps on a funded account, the rest going to the prop firm. Splits on futures prop firms typically start at 80 % and rise to 90 or 100 %, sometimes only after a first amount is paid or a number of payouts is reached.
A 90 % split on a $4,000 payout is $3,600 to the trader. Some firms let the trader keep 100 % of the first few thousand dollars, then apply the split. Others publish a split that only applies after the account has been 'scaled' or after the first payout; the reference account on this site shows the split as published for that account.
The split is rarely the number that decides what you take home: the first-payout delay, the payout cap and the consistency rule move the money far more than ten points of split. Compare the whole payout policy, not the headline.
